On June 19, 100 attended the bi-annual reunion of the Sandusky Alumni.

Honored were the 50-years graduates of Sandusky High School, classes of 1959 and 1960. The celebration was held at North Decatur with a luncheon provided by Rolling Pin Catering. Robert Brewsaugh gave the invocation. Cookie bouquets and shades of yellow and gold marigolds were used as the table decorations and door prizes.

First Vice President, Don Mauer led the meeting with introduction of the committee, President, Dudley Myers, 1st Vice President Don Mauer, 2nd Vice President Robert Brewsaugh, 3rd Vice President June Snyder, Secretary and Treasurer Bonita Myers.

A report was given on the Sandusky Alumni Scholarship Fund which is administered by the Decatur County Community Foundation.  Donations to help build the Sandusky Alumni Scholarship can be sent to the DCCF in honor of a special person or event and/or in memory of friends and loved ones.

Letha DeLay, class of 1939, was recognized as having been graduated from Sandusky High School the longest. The 50-year honored classes of 1959 and 1960 were introduced and spoke about their memories of Sandusky School days and where they are today.  From the class of 1959 was Carroll Hoeing, and the class of 1960 was, Ron Bruner, Anna Jo (Lee) Chandler, Carol (Muckerheide) Hahn, Betty (Sexton) Hayes, Ken Myers, Robert Niles, and Betty (Taylor) Wilson.

Entertainment for the occasion was a slide picture program provided by Gene Pitts, a 1958 graduate of Sandusky High School. The slides were of basketball games, dances and special events from 1950 up to the last graduating class in 1963. The 1950Õs projector and slides were owned by GeneÕs father and principal of Sandusky High School, Orville Pitts. The remainder of the afternoon was spent taking pictures and reminiscing.
